Damage Components
Damage Components view
The Damage Components view displays the equipment components that exist at the current scope level. Use equipment components to specify a damaged component on a piece of equipment, such as a door, tail light, or CSC plate.
For example, if a damage is described as a tear in the container door, the tear is the damage type and container door is the equipment component that is damaged. For more information on damage types, see Damage Types view (on page 1).
You can add new equipment components, and edit or delete existing equipment components from this view.
If you record damages in XPS, N4 automatically adds the mapped damage components in the Damage Components view. For more information, see Recording damages in XPS (on page 1).
In addition, you can use the Actions menu to:
Recover Obsolete: Recover deleted damage components features.
Purge: Purge damage components.
Export SNX File: Export the selected damage components as an XML file using the snx.xsd format.
Copy Reference Set (on page 1): Copy damage components from another entity set.
In the Units view (on page 1), use the Actions Update Damages (on page 1) option to update damages for a unit.
